Without doubt, I have a vested interest in this topic as my husband is employed in the automotive industry.
But putting that to one side, how can extending the MoT time-span to the first test after 4 years (instead of 3) and then every 2nd year thereafter (instead of every year) make our roads a safer place to be?
27% of cars fail their 1st MoT at 3 year old, so one can only imagine the situation if we wait until 4 years for the first test.
