stocking shelves with disappointment,
never to run out.
No expiration date, for that which is dead inside can not expire further.
Loneliness, although completly surronded.
dancing in a roof of swinging axes blindfolded.
relying not on my own for the song to end.
Breaking glass of shattered lives,
only to face the strange reality that masking tape
no longer holds together the shards of hopelessness.
It returns, calls to me in the night
articulate, sultry, inviting.
It pleds with me to dance oce more.
The song has changed but the steps are the same
resulting in depleating faith.
all humanity hiccups in unison.
Drinking what energy is left
I fall aside, only to watch the race.
Never to finish that which was never started.
